Francisco Castro Rego

Francisco Castro Rego is a Forestry Engineer and holds a PhD in the same field from the University of Idaho (USA). He was a Professor at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro and later at the Technical University of Lisbon, where he served as President of the Higher Institute of Agronomy. He was also Director of the Forestry Station, President of the European Forestry Institute, and Director General of Forest Resources. He has participated in various political initiatives, both within the Socialist Party and in other cooperative initiatives between left-wing political forces.
