Francesco Ripoli é diplomado em Educação Visual pelo Instituto d’Arte Russoli em Pisa, e em Pintura pela Accademia delle Belle Arti em Florença e também pela Facultad de Bellas Artes em Sevilha, Ripoli tem várias obras expostas em exposições e galerias entre Itália e Espanha. Na BD, o seu primeiro trabalho foi Spaguetti Western em 2007, seguindo-se em 2008 Ilaria Alpi, il prezo della verità, escrita por Marco Rizzo, que recebeu o prémio Attilio Micheluzzi para melhor BD na Comicon de Nápoles em 2008, e o prémio Carlo Boscarato para melhor estreante no Festival de BD de Treviso. Viria a ser convidado pela Sergio Bonelli Editore para colaborar em Le Storie, passando depois para Dylan Dog, onde se vai estrear na série mensal com Graphic Horror Novel: il sequel, escrita por Diego Cajelli.
