Florêncio Cacête

Florêncio António Azinheirinha Cacête é natural de Montemor-o-Novo. É professor do ensino secundário. Desde cedo tem desenvolvido investigação sobre o património histórico local, muito particularmente sobre as tradições, folclore e etnografia do Alentejo. Nos últimos anos, tem desenvolvido alguma investigação na área do Turismo também. É membro da Associação de Folcloristas do Alto Alentejo e Conselheiro Técnico da Federação do Folclore Português. É coprodutor do Cine-Magazine "Vagar" e Coordenador do Projeto Arquivo Digital do Cante. É presidente da Associação Alentejo, Terras e Gentes, parceira do Projeto A Música Portuguesa a Gostar Dela Própria. É membro do IOV - International Organization of Folk Art. É investigador do CIDEHUS - Centro Interdisciplinar de História, Culturas e Sociedades da Universidade de Évora, onde integra o Projeto Sharing Memories-Voices of the Community.
