Fernando Baptista de Seixas Peyroteo nasceu a 10 de março de 1918, em Angola. Foi jogador do Sporting Clube de Portugal durante doze anos (1937-1949). Os golos acompanharam toda a carreira de Fernando Peyroteo, tornando-o no maior goleador português de todos os tempos com um total de 540 golos em 332 jogos oficiais. Mas não foi só no Sporting Clube de Portugal que Fernando Peyroteo deixou a sua marca. Na Federação Portuguesa de Futebol também fez história: realizou 20 jogos com a camisola das quinas (marcou 13 golos), foi capitão e chegou a selecionador nacional. Retirou-se dos relvados com apenas 31 anos. Faleceu com 60 anos, a 28 de novembro de 1978.
