Fernando Pessanha nasceu em Faro, em 1980. É licenciado em Património Cultural e mestre em História do Algarve, pela Faculdade de Ciências Humanas e Sociais da Universidade do Algarve. Na área da História é autor de A Cidade Islâmica de Faro e de vários artigos publicados em Portugal, Espanha e Marrocos. No campo da ficção é autor de Encontros Improváveis e de Hotel Anaidaug. Actualmente exerce funções no Arquivo Histórico Municipal de Vila Real de Santo António. Para além da História e da Literatura, dedica-se também à Musica: é pianista e compositor com obra registada na Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores.
