Fernando Mendes

Fernando Mendes nasceu a 5 de Novembro de 1966, em Setúbal. Ainda em criança começou a jogar futebol nas camadas jovens do Sporting, clube onde fez toda a sua formação futebolística e jogou cinco épocas na equipa principal. Depois da passagem por Alvalade, vestiu a camisola de Benfica, Boavista, Estrela da Amadora, Belenenses, FC Porto e V. Setúbal. Representou a Selecção Nacional por 14 vezes, entre partidas oficiais e jogos amigáveis. Durante a sua carreira, conquistou quatro campeonatos nacionais, três Taças de Portugal e três Supertaças Cândido Oliveira.
