Falk Richter

Falk Richter, Hamburgo (1969 –), estudou linguística, filosofia e encenação. É autor de peças traduzidas para mais de 25 idiomas e produzidas um pouco por todo o mundo. Além de escrever e encenar os próprios textos, tem trabalhado autores contemporâneos e clássicos tais como Shakespeare, Tchékhov, Schiller, Brecht. Foi encenador residente no Schauspielhaus Zürich (2000–2004), no Berliner Schaubühne (2006–2010) e no Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus (2011–2012). É, desde 2015, artista associado no Teatro Nacional de Estrasburgo e, desde 2017, encenador residente no Deutschen Schauspielhaus de Hamburgo. Com os coreógrafos Anouk van Dijk e Nir de Volff, vem criando produções que transpõem fronteiras entre diversas disciplinas: teatro, dança, música. Às duas horas da manhã (Zwei Uhr nachts) estreou a 1 de fevereiro de 2015 em Frankfurt. Ente outros prémios, Richter recebeu em 2019 um Teddy Award Especial no Festival Internacional de Cinema de Berlim.
