Eugénia de Vasconcellos nasceu em 1967, em Faro. Espera não morrer, jamais, ainda que as evidências deem a morte por inevitável. É poeta. E entre um poema e outro cabem as crónicas, o ensaio, os contos e o romance.

Se tivesse de escolher um poeta, hoje, escolhia três: Camões, Whitman, Herberto Helder. É a poesia quem abre a porta ao futuro. É por isso que a morte não lhe morde os calcanhares. Autora de O Quotidiano a Secar em Verso (poesia), Camas Politicamente Incorrectas da Sexualidade Contemporânea (ensaio), Do Branco ao Negro (conto). Há traduções de obras suas em catalão, alemão, sérvio e romeno.
