Etelvino Batista

Etelvino da Silva Batista nasceu a 7 de Fevereiro de 1939, no lugar de Penedo, freguesia de Colares, tendo crescido na Praia das Maças, onde frequentou o ensino básico até à 4ª classe, na Escola Primária de Azenhas do Mar.
Foi mobilizado e embarcou para Angola no paquete Vera Cruz, em 28 de Junho de 1961 para a guerra que teve início a 15 de Março do mesmo ano.
Por lá esteve 28 meses, quase sempre nas zonas de intervenção, regressando a Portugal a 26 de Outubro de 1963.
