Estela Pinto Ribeiro Lamas

Estela Pinto Ribeiro Lamas, a tenured professor at the Piaget Institute, obtained her habilitation in Didactics of Literature under a protocol between the Fernando Pessoa University and the Sorbonne - Paris VIII. She holds a PhD in Educational Sciences (Didactics of Mother Tongue and Literature) from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, and a bachelor's and master's degree in Modern and Contemporary Romance Languages ​​and Literatures from the University of Porto. She completed her undergraduate studies at UNISA (distance learning). Having been a member of the UTAD faculty, she has also collaborated with various national institutions, such as the Catholic University, where she taught for ten years (Porto and Vila Real campuses), as well as with foreign universities (Poland, France, and Brazil) where she occasionally teaches at the postgraduate level. She publishes in the areas of literary criticism, Portuguese language teaching, and teacher training. She also collaborates in professional training with training centers in Northern Portugal, acting as a trainer of trainers. Within her activities at the Department of Advanced Studies and Training, she coordinates this collection of Anthologies of Portuguese Literature, as well as another of Didactic Manuals for teacher training, and is the director of the doctoral course Didactic Perspectives in Curricular Areas. In March 2001, she assumed the Rectorship of the Jean Piaget University of Cape Verde; at the postgraduate level, she launched a master's course in Portuguese Language Teaching there, in partnership with the University of Minho, and collaborates on the doctoral course in Psychological Development and Social Intervention in partnership with the University of Valencia, Spain.
