Ernesto Guerra da Cal

Ernesto Guerra da Cal (Ferrol 1911 – Lisboa 1994) foi escritor, filólogo e catedrático da New York University. É um dos mais reconhecidos estudiosos de Eça de Queiroz e, para além da sua dilatada carreira como ensaísta, foi um grande poeta. Entre outras honras e galardões que recebeu, foi acolhido como Doutor Honoris Causa das universidades da Baía e de Coimbra e foi reconhecido como Membro da Academia das Ciências de Lisboa e da Associaçom Galega da Língua (AGAL).
