Éric Roussel (1951) é um conhecido escritor e jornalista francês, especialista em história política e autor de várias biografias de estadistas franceses, como Jean Monnet ou Georges Pompidou, Mendès France, para além de Charles de Gaulle. Roussel é também crítico literário do Le Monde e do Figaro. Preside ao Instituto Pierre Mendès France desde 2007, ano em que foi nomeado membro da Comissão de História e Ciências do Homem e do Centro Nacional do Livro.
