Emmanuel Mounier

Filósofo francês, nascido em 1905 e falecido em 1950, fundou em 1932 a revista Esprt, que durante duas décadas se afirmou como um ponto de convergência moral e espiritual. Seguindo uma tradição de cristianismo social, de que encontra repercussões na obra de Charles Péguy, refletiu, nos textos que publicou, sobre a problemática do homem contemporâneo enquanto indivíduo integrado numa determinada época social, económica e política. Publicou os ensaios La Pensée de Charles Péguy (1931), Révolution personnaliste et communautaire (1935), Manifeste au service du personnalisme (1936), Liberté sous condition (1946), Traité du caractère (1946), Introduction aux existencialismes (1947), Le Personnalisme (1949) e L'Espoir des désespérés (1953).
