Emília O. G. Pinheiro nasceu a 30 de maio de 1953 na ilha Terceira - Açores - e vive desde outubro de 1979 no Brasil. É pesquisadora independente de assuntos relacionados com a saúde e nutrição celular. É palestrante internacional e já dividiu palcos com nomes como Deepak Chopra e Fred Alan Wolf (Estados Unidos) Lair Ribeiro (Brasil) e Carlos Orozco (México). Especializada em Dieta Pelo Tipo Sanguíneo (Nutrigenética) é pioneira do método no Brasil e em Portugal. Ganhou por vários anos consecutivos o 1º lugar na categoria "Destaque em Terapia Ortomolecular e Dieta Pelo Tipo Sanguíneo", apontada pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Pesquisas Mercadológicas (Maringá/Paraná/Brasil). Tem vários livros editados em Portugal todos com a chancela das Edições Mahatma.
