Sendo mãe de dois filhos, Elizabeth Cole compreende que a infância é uma fase muito importante da nossa vida, repleta de emoções diferentes e frequentemente mutáveis. Desde que tirou o seu mestrado em Psicologia, em 2008, dedicou-se totalmente à investigação sobre a infância, entendendo as necessidades e também as verdadeiras emoções das crianças. Trabalhou como professora durante cinco anos, período em que melhorou e aprofundou conhecimentos, que a motivaram ainda mais a continuar a trabalhar o público infantil. Toda a sua experiência inspirou-a a escrever uma série de livros infantis.
