É licenciada em Geografia pela Universidade de Lisboa, professora do ensino básico e secundário e co-autora de manuais escolares para as disciplinas de Ciências Sociais e Ciências Ambientais.

Como desportista, destacou-se ao participar em vários ralis de moto (Master, Dubai, Tunísia, Marrocos, Paris-Dakar…), tendo vencido na categoria de Senhoras a Taça do Mundo de Todo-o Terreno entre 1999 e 2001. Actualmente participa em ralis de todo-o-terreno em camião.
