Eimear Tynan

Eimear Tynan is a landscape architect working with the Masters programme at the Tromsø Academy of Landscape and Territorial Studies.
She is also a practicing landscape architect with over 10 years of experience.

She is responsible for the current third semester studio course on post-industrial heritage in the Arctic titled Intervals of Neglect.
Her main interests lie in the performative aspects of landscape by exploring the effects of time on a space – the processes that affect the materials of a site and the conditions that shape a landscape.

She has presented and published work on her research concerning the role of landscape architecture in Arctic contexts with specific focus on the vulnerabilities associated in such territories and regions.
