Eduardo Manet

Dramaturgo, cineasta e romancista nascido em 1930 em Santiago de Cuba, Eduardo Manet deixou a sua ilha natal para sempre em 1968 para se estabelecer em Paris. Prémio Goncourt para Estudantes de L'Île du lézard vert (Flammarion, 1992) e Prémio Interallié pelo Rhapsodie cubaine (Grasset, 1996), ele é autor de uma dúzia de romances e contos, incluindo La Mauresque, finalista do Prémio Goncourt de 1982 (Archipoche, 2009) e Un Cubain à Paris (Écriture, 2009), evocando os seus anos parisienses. O seu apego às raízes cubanas está no centro de seu último romance, Les Trois Frères Castro (Écriture, 2010).
