Eduardo Barroso nasceu em Lisboa, a 26 de janeiro de 1949. Além da paixão pelo futebol e pelo Sporting, dedicou-se a outra vocação: Medicina. É doutorado em Cirurgia pela Faculdade de Ciências Médicas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Foi diretor do Serviço de Cirurgia Geral e Unidade de Transplantação e do Centro Hepato-Bilio-Pancreático e Transplantação do Hospital Curry Cabral.
