Eduarda Pedro licenciou-se, em 1985, em Engenharia Eletrotécnica no Instituto Superior Técnico, obtendo na mesma instituição os graus de Mestre e Doutor em 1990 e 1999, respetivamente. É docente do Instituto Superior Técnico desde 1986, sendo presentemente professora auxiliar do Departamento de Engenharia Eletrotécnica e de Computadores, estando integrada na área científica de Energia.
Publicou cerca de cinquenta artigos científicos e participou na elaboração de uma dezena de relatórios de atividades no âmbito de projetos com a indústria.
