Edith Templeton

Edith Templeton, nasceu em Praga, no ano de 1916. Foi educada num liceu francês e em 1938 casou com um inglês, passando a residir na Grã-Bretanha. Trabalhou no gabinete do exército americano, em Cheltenham, e enquanto intérprete no exército britânico. Nos anos 50, escreveu short-stories, que chegaram a ser publicadas no jornal The New Yorker. Nas décadas seguintes publicou diversos romances ficando muito popular com um livro de viagens intitulado The Surprise of Cremona. Em 1956 casou pela segunda vez com um cardiologista famoso mudando-se para a Índia. Desde então viveu em diversos países europeus, estando actualmente a viver em Bordighera, na costa italiana.
