Jornalista e escritora nasceu em Faro, em 30 de Julho de 1945. Com formação em Filologia Germânica na Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa, exerceu jornalismo durante 33 anos no jornal A Capital, onde foi chefe de redação-adjunta, redatora-principal, grande repórter, editora, colunista e cronista. Foi formadora no Cenjor – Centro Protocolar de Formação Profissional para Jornalistas. Autora do livro Irene – É Possível Renascer, colaborou na antologia de poesia e prosa Nas Margens da Solidão, em prol da SOS Voz Amiga. É editora e jornalista da revista Autores, da Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores.
