Edward Warren (1926-2006) foi um veterano da Marinha na Segunda Guerra Mundial e ex-oficial de polícia que se tornou um autodidata, especialista em demonologia, autor e conferencista. Casou-se com Lorraine Warren, com quem se tornou um dos mais importantes investigadores de fenómenos paranormais. Em 1952, o casal fundaria a New England Society for Psychic Research, um grupo de caça-fantasmas. Escreveram vários livros sobre o paranormal e sobre as suas investigações em diversos casos do género. Estiveram entre os primeiros investigadores do polémico caso da casa assombrada de Amityville.
