A Dra. Amy Myers é doutorada em Medicina no Centro de Ciências da Saúde da Universidade Estatal de Louisiana. Foi médica residente no Centro Médico da Universidade de Maryland, no Hospital Infantil Dell e no Centro Médico da Universidade de Brackenridge. Completou a sua certificação em Medicina Funcional no The Institute of Functional Medicine em 2012.
Foi fundadora e Diretora Médica da Austin UltraHealth, onde ajudou milhares de pacientes com problemas autoimunes, de tiroide e digestivos a recuperarem a saúde.
Enquanto estava na faculdade de medicina, foi-lhe diagnosticada a doença de Graves, uma condição autoimune da tiroide, e, como os seus colegas médicos de medicina convencional não conseguiam ajudá-la a recuperar a saúde, decidiu embarcar na sua própria jornada para a cura.
