Diogo de Andrade é o pseudónimo de um alto quadro do Estado com obra publicada e que optou pelo anonimato. As suas amizades políticas e as funções que tem desempenhado permitiram-lhe conhecer o poder político e militar em Portugal, no período anterior e posterior à Revolução de 1974. Tendo privado com algumas das personagens do seu livro Alvorada Desfeita e recolhido alguns dos seus desabafos, expetativas, deceções e confidências, aproveitou para os converter num romance de ficção alternativa, 35 anos após o 25 de Abril.
