Diane Chamberlain é uma autora bestseller norte-americana, com 23 títulos publicados em mais de 20 línguas.
Apaixonada pela leitura e pela escrita desde criança, viu o seu primeiro romance publicado em 1989, título esse que lhe valeu um prémio RITA, atribuído pela Associação Americana de Escritores de Romance.
É licenciada em Serviço Social pela Universidade de San Diego, ainda que já não exerça a sua profissão para poder dedicar-se inteiramente à escrita e aos livros. Para a autora, a verdadeira magia da escrita está na possibilidade de tocar os leitores com as suas palavras.
