David Uclés
David Uclés (Úbeda, 1990), a graduate and master in Translation and Interpretation, is also a writer, musician, and illustrator. He has published the novels The Peninsula of Empty Houses (2024), Emilio y Octubre (2020) and El llanto del león (2019; Complutense Literature Prize). The Peninsula of Empty HousesTold in a magical realism style, this work is the result of fifteen years of work and an exhaustive journey of documentation and memory throughout the Spanish landscape. Its creation was funded by the Leonardo and Montserrat Roig grants.
