David Nutt

David Nutt é um neuropsicofarmacologista inglês, dos mais conceituados do mundo, professor na Faculdade de Medicina do Imperial College London. A sua área de investigação são os efeitos das drogas no cérebro, sob duas perspetivas: como funcionam os tratamentos com estas substâncias na psiquiatria e na neurologia, e a razão pela qual as pessoas se tornam viciadas em algumas delas.
É fundador e presidente da DrugScience, uma organização sem fins lucrativos que reúne especialistas em drogas com vista a realizar pesquisas inovadoras sobre os seus efeitos e potenciais danos, sem interferências políticas ou comerciais. No seu The Drug Science Podcast recebe peritos de renome mundial para discutir estes temas.
É autor de mais de 30 livros, dos quais se destacam Drugs Without the Hot Air (2012), Drink? The New Science of Alcohol and Your Health (2020) e Cannabis (seeing through the smoke): The New Science of Cannabis and Your Health (2022).
