Doutorado em Bioquímica pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2008). Foi jornalista de ciência no jornal Público e autor do Inimigo Público. Autor de vários espetáculos de teatro e programas de televisão sobre temas científicos. Coautor, com Carlos Fiolhais, dos livros Darwin aos Tiros e Outras Histórias de Ciência (Gradiva, 2011) e Pipocas com Telemóvel e Outras Histórias de Falsa Ciência (Gradiva, 2012). Coordenador e coautor do livro Toda a Ciência (Menos as Partes Chatas) (Gradiva, 2013). Em 2010 venceu os prémios Químicos Jovens e Ideias Verdes.
