É presidente e fundador da Nutrition Housecall, LLC, uma instituição que providencia cuidados personalizados de nutrição e dietética. Com mais de 20 anos de prática clínica, Grotto recebeu em 2005 o prémio de Excelência da American Dietetic's Association.
É conselheiro científico da revista Men's Health nos Estados Unidos e colabora com diversas instituições, jornais e estações de televisão analisando temas relacionados com a alimentação, nutrição oncológica, doença cardiovascular e medicinas alternativas.
