David Benioff

David Benioff nasceu em Nova Iorque, em 1970.
É romancista e argumentista, tendo sido ele próprio a fazer a adaptação cinematográfica do seu primeiro romance, The 25th Hour (A Última Hora), num filme realizado por Spike Lee, com Edward Norton no principal papel. São igualmente da sua autoria os argumentos dos filmes X-Men Origens, Wolverine, Tróia, entre outros.
Alguns dos contos da sua colectânea When the Nines Roll Over, aclamada pela crítica, aparecem em Best New American Voices e The Best Nonrequired American Reading. Vive actualmente em Los Angeles com a mulher e a filha.
Cidade de Ladrões é o seu primeiro livro publicado em Portugal.
