Dasa Drndic
Daša Drndic (1946-2018) was born in Zagreb, in present-day Croatia, then part of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. She graduated from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, and worked as a translator and university professor in Canada and at the University of Rijeka, Croatia, where she received her doctorate. Her novel Belladonna He won the Warwick Prize in 2018 and was a finalist for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Literary Prize.
