Dália Costa é doutorada em Sociologia da Família. Professora Associada no Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas da Universidade de Lisboa (ISCSP-ULisboa), onde leciona desde 1996. Coordenadora da pós-graduação em Criminologia e Reinserção Social. Investigadora integrada e cofundadora do Centro Interdisciplinar de Estudos de Género (CIEG) e investigadora colaboradora no Centro de Administração e Políticas Públicas (CAPP), onde coordena e participa em vários projetos de pesquisa, de âmbito nacional ou internacional. É autora de diversos livros e capítulos de livros.
