Cristina Ponte é Professora catedrática na Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa e investigadora no Instituto de Comunicação da NOVA (ICNOVA). Coordena a equipa portuguesa na rede europeia EU Kids Online desde o seu início e é membro da sua direção. É membro da direção do projeto ySkills (2020–2013), financiado pelo programa europeu H2020. Tem investigado e publicado livros e artigos sobre jornalismo, crianças e média, média e gerações, com foco no contexto familiar. É coeditora do livro Digital parenting - The Challenges for Families in the Digital Age, NORDICOM YEARBOOK 2018.
