Cristina Almeida Serôdio nasceu em 1958, no Porto. É mestre em Literatura Portuguesa Moderna pela Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa, onde exerceu a docência como assistente convidada, entre 1991 e 2006. Publicou trabalhos sobre literatura e teatro e, em particular, sobre a educação literária dos adolescentes, enquanto leitores em aprendizagem. É co-autora do Programa de Literatura Portuguesa (10.º e 11.º anos) e investigadora do Centro de Estudos de Teatro. É professora de Português e Literatura Portuguesa do ensino secundário, em Lisboa.
A Casa das Tias é o seu primeiro romance.
