Claire Heywood é uma jovem e renomada estudiosa do mundo antigo, formada em Civilização Clássica pela Universidade de Warwick. A sua escrita é inspirada pelo seu amor pela mitologia grega, pelos seus conhecimentos de culturas antigas e pelo fascínio que tem pelas vozes esquecidas das mulheres.
