Cidinha da Silva is from Minas Gerais and has already published 20 books, including award-winning ones. He also organized two fundamental works for thinking about contemporary race relations in Brazil: Affirmative action in education: Brazilian experiences (2003) and Africanities and race relations: inputs for public policies in the area of ​​books, reading, literature and libraries in Brazil.
