Christiane Pieper
Christiane Pieper (Germany, 1962) began studying psychology in Giessen, then switched to visual communication in Kassel and Düsseldorf. Her first book as an illustrator was published in 1993 by Peter Hammer (Germany).
To date, she has illustrated around 40 children's books using various styles and techniques, sometimes employing black and white, sometimes impressionistic brushstrokes, and acrylic paintings. Among other awards, she received the Troisdorf Illustrated Album Prize. Since 1993, she has lived and worked in Wuppertal as an illustrator for publishers in Germany, Europe, and India.
