Chloé Cruchudet nasceu em Lyon, em 1976. Depois de estudar arquitetura e artes gráficas em Lyon, frequentou a escola de animação Gobelins. Isso fez com que ela desenvolvesse seu gosto pelo desenho in loco e trouxe uma abordagem cinematográfica para o seu trabalho. A sua produção é inspirada em livros históricos ou autobiografias.
É uma autora reconhecida e premiada no mundo da banda desenhada.
