Vive em Santa Barbara com o marido, a filha e a irmã. Tem vinte e cinco anos de experiência em palestras, consultoria de gestão, formadora e professora. É autora de quatro livros.

É co-autora de Chicken Soup for the Global Soul juntamente com Jack Canfield e Mark Victor Hansen.
