Cesar Vallejo

César Abraham Vallejo Mendoza (Santiago de Chuco, 1892 - Paris, 1938) foi um poeta de tendência vanguardista, unanimemente considerado pela crítica especializada como um dos maiores poetas hispano-americanos do século XX e o maior poeta peruano[1] , tendo sido também contista, romancistaista, dramaturgo e ensaísta. Conforme o escritor uruguaio Mario Benedetti[2] , é o mais influente poeta das letras hispano-americanas na atualidade, juntamente com Pablo Neruda, poeta que costumava se referir ao peruano como melhor poeta do que ele próprio.
