Cesar A. Sciammarella

Cesar A. Sciammarella é professor-pesquisador na Northern Illinois University (NIU).
É, também, professor emérito do Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering Department do Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), em Chicago, onde dirigiu por mais de 30 anos o mundialmente renomado Experimental Mechanics Laboratory.
Pioneiro na aplicação das metodologias de moiré, holografia e interferometria speckle como ferramenta para solucionar problemas industriais, recentemente concluiu um projeto de cinco anos financiado pelo governo italiano para ajudar o Politecnico di Bari a desenvolver seu laboratório de mecânica experimental.
É membro honorário da Society for Experimental Mechanics (SEM) e autor de mais de 300 artigos e capítulos de livros.
