Licenciada em engenharia florestal, desempenha funções de Técnica Superior no Instituto de Conservação da Natureza e Biodiversidade desde 1995. O gosto pela escrita surge de muito nova, contudo o estímulo para o início da escrita de pequenas obras infantojuvenis surge com o sentimento de que, cada um, à sua medida, pode e deve encetar esforços para a construção de um mundo mais justo e inclusivo. Autora das obras Garoto Sem Modos e Menina que Só Sabia Sorrir, centradas na inclusão, defende que é através da leitura e da escrita que se conseguem abrir horizontes e formar uma geração mais polivalente e cooperante.
