Catarina Araújo nasceu em Lisboa no início dos anos 80, década do néon, dos chumaços e dos cabelos armados. Mal aprendeu a ler e a escrever, começou a rabiscar os seus primeiros poemas e, mais tarde, aventurou-se pelos contos. Aos 19 anos escreveu, finalmente, o seu primeiro livro. Estudou Jornalismo, mas nunca fez dele profissão. Publicou um romance para adultos e alguns livros infantojuvenis. Em paralelo, tem a melhor profissão do mundo: a de fazer livros.
