Carolina Henriques Pereira é Doutora em História Contemporânea pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra com uma tese intitulada Escapando à Guerra e ao Holocausto através de Portugal: refugiados nas zonas de «residência fixa» da Região Centro (1940-1946) e professora auxiliar convidada na mesma instituição. É também autora do livro Refugiados da Segunda Guerra Mundial nas Caldas da Rainha (1940-1946), publicado em 2017.
É investigadora integrada do Centro de História da Sociedade e da Cultura (CHSC-FLUC) e autora de diversos artigos relacionados com História Local, História Contemporânea, Segunda Guerra Mundial, Estado Novo e refugiados.
