Carlos Silveira é historiador de arte e investigador do Instituto de História da Arte da Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas / Universidade Nova de Lisboa, onde obteve o grau de doutor. Especializado em arte dos séculos XIX e XX, com particular incidência nos impactos da Primeira Guerra Mundial, tem sido curador de várias exposições nesse âmbito, para além de manter uma atividade profissional ligada aos museus. Tem livros e estudos publicados sobre artistas de referência como Adriano de Sousa Lopes, Henrique Pousão, Domingos António de Sequeira e Santa Rita Pintor.
