Carlos Porfírio nasceu em Lisboa mas viveu parte da sua vida em Moçambique e em Angola.
Economista de formação, foi professor e gestor em multinacionais, e é sócio-gerente de uma empresa digital. Consagra o seu tempo livre às artes pois, para além da literatura, interessa-se por dança e pintura.

Pode dizer-se que tem sempre mais ideias do que tempo para as escrever.
Publicou Marcas de Amor em 2005, e Caídos da Mesma Árvore quatro anos depois.
A Valsa dos Pecados, o seu terceiro romance, é uma ambiciosa e emocionante reflexão sobres os caminhos e descaminhos do mundo em que vivemos.
