Nasceu em 1964, no Porto, e é jornalista profissional desde 1989, embora se tenha iniciado no Jornal de Notícias, logo aos 17 anos. Passou por: Comércio do Porto, Século, AutoSport, Turbo e SuperCiclismo e é o actual editor de modalidades de O Jogo. Fez a cobertura de 12 Voltas a Portugal, praticamente todas as corridas de ciclismo nacionais e mais de uma dezena no estrangeiro, além de duas edições dos Jogos Olímpicos e das provas máximas de modalidades como ténis, andebol, hóquei em patins e automobilismo. No futebol, esteve em vários jogos da Liga dos Campeões e em dois Europeus de Sub-23.
