Carla Madeira was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in 1964. He dropped out of a Mathematics course to graduate in Journalism and Advertising. She was a professor of Advertising Writing at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and is a partner and creative director of the communication agency Lápis Raro. In 2014, she released her first novel, a sweeping editorial success that would be absolutely confirmed with the releases of A Natureza da Mordida, in 2018, and Véspera, in 2021, making Carla Madeira the most read author in Brazil and the Lusophone author of the moment.
