Carla M. Soares

Carla M. Soares was born in 1971 in Moçâmedes, Angola, but soon moved to Portugal. From childhood, she loved books, and graduated in Modern Languages ​​and Literatures from the Faculty of Letters of the University of Lisbon. Already a teacher and mother, she embarked on a master's degree in American Studies – Culture and Literature – and obtained a postgraduate degree in Art History from the Faculty of Letters of Lisbon. Currently, she is pursuing a doctorate in English and American Studies at the same faculty.
In 2012, his first season title was published. Rebel Soul, published by Porto Editora, and in 2014 the novel The Flame in the Wind, through the Coolbooks digital label. In the same year, he published The English Gentleman, in the collection RTP Books from the Marcador label and, in 2016, with the same label, The Year of the DancerAlso in 2017, through Cultura Editora, she debuted as a contemporary novelist, with Lemons at Dawn.
